Our Story

Company founder Mike Robertson knew at a young age that his path would lead him to a career in dentistry. Fascinated by a combination of art and science, it was a natural fit for Mike to gravitate to dental fabrication processes. Mike worked a summer in a small lab learning the basics of dental lab work and honing his skills fabricating crowns and removeable prosthesises. In 1981, at the age of 23, Mike became a Certified Dental Technician (CDT), one of the youngest at the time.

In 1985, Mike opened Robertson Dental Lab with a focus on being the best, most knowledgeable dental lab in the area. Mike imparted the important values of quality, customer service, and on-time delivery to his small staff. Ask anyone at Robertson Dental Lab what our number one job is and you would hear, “We are here to make the dentists’ job as easy as possible.”

Mike is a respected and recognized figure by his peers on the national dental laboratory level. He actively participates in dental lab symposiums, CE courses, industry events, and lectures locally at study clubs and dental meetings. Mike and his management team have set a course for the future by setting up Robertson Dental Lab as a place known for their professionalism. Mike’s intuitive feel for industry changes has kept Robertson Dental Lab relevant, current and on the forefront of dental lab technologies. His vision has allowed our lab to meet the coming wave of digital dentistry.
